At One Love Midwifery, we believe that birth is a natural, transformative experience that should be guided by your preferences and needs. We offer comprehensive support for various birth settings to ensure you have access to the birth experience that feels right for you and your family.
Insurance and Billing
We want to make midwifery care accessible for everyone. One Love Midwifery is an Out of Network provider and can work with you to submit billing to your insurance company for reimbursement. Most insurance companies will reimburse you for some, if not all of your care. Sonograms, lab work and genetic testing are all covered on an in-network basis even if you work with a care provider out of network.
One Love Midwifery uses Clear bill billing service for benefits verification, coordination of care, and to obtain insurance authorization..

Founder: Dr. Heather Findletar Hines, CNM, FACNM
Dr. Heather Findletar Hines, a dynamic force in midwifery, has dedicated over two decades to championing birth justice and equity. As the Associate Clinical Professor and Midwifery Program Director at Stony Brook University, she has not only shaped the next generation of certified nurse midwives but also spearheaded transformative initiatives. A fierce Jamaican midwife, Dr. Hines founded One Love Midwifery to confront healthcare racism and maternal mortality in the United States. Her visionary leadership cultivates growth, fostering a community of doulas and driving collaborative efforts to reduce primary cesarean births. Recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator, her innovative teaching method and integration of iPads have reshaped midwifery education. Dr. Hines believes midwifery is the link for true equity in reproductive healthcare, allowing her to genuinely “see” and care for her patients. Her community practice, One Love Midwifery, exemplifies this ethos, providing full-scope care to Long Island residents. Grounded in the principles of understanding, patience, empathy, and collaboration, Dr. Hines embodies the compassionate essence of midwifery, ensuring well-rounded care for her community, clients, and students alike.

Hello! I’m Noelle. I’m a plant obsessed wife to my high school sweetheart, homeschooling mom of three with a sweet Angel baby cheering us on from above. I run the family circus consisting of 1 dog, 5 cats, 2 Guinea pigs, and a house chicken. I’ve been serving the Long Island birth community for 8 years as a doula, placenta specialist, and childbirth educator. I’m in my second year as a midwifery student working towards my CPM credentials to hopefully practice one day in NY. In birth, I’m most passionate about accessibility to care, bodily autonomy, informed choice, shared decision making.
